2 more days!!

It's Saturday morning and I am happy that in just 2 more days my boyfriend will be coming home. I can't believe how much I miss him. I've talked to him everyday but I just cant wait to see him. Today is going to be a fun day. My friend Danielle and I are going shopping. She is the only other person in my life besides my mom that loves shopping as much as I do. I know if my boyfriend reads this he is going to say STOP SHOPPING!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! And I honestly have toned down my shopping habits big time since I met him. He helped me pay off a lot of debt when we met 2 years ago and I am so grateful for that. But I still once in awhile buy something for myself and like my mom always says, "it's in our blood." My grandfather owned a clothing store way back when.

So I think we are going to Forever 21 today and that is one of my favorite stores. It has the cutest stuff and their prices are very reasonable. I have bought some of the cutest dresses and outfits there in the $20 to $30 range and their stuff isn't made cheap. It doesn't fall apart after one wearing. Its a great store! Check it out sometime.

Liveawear

I don't know if anyone has heard of liveawear.org but they are a nonprofit organization founded in 2005 by Paula Rogowsky and Doug Cohen. These two people created this organization to provide awareness to people who are victims of domestic violence or to anyone who knows someone that is a victim of domestic violence. This organization builds partnerships with designers and retail outlets to create clothing that gets their message across in a fashionable way.

I never new about this organization until I came across one of their tank tops when I was shopping one day. It caught my eye because it was a plain white tank top that people usually call a "wife beater" and on the front of the tank top it said "not a wife beater". I thought the message was awesome and I ended up buying it. When you buy any of their clothing the proceeds go toward raising awareness and the prevention of relationship abuse. This organization strongly feels that in today's society people should not be calling an article of clothing a "wife beater" because "wifebeaters are people who physically and emotionally abuse their partners-not tank tops." Each day three women are killed by their intimate partners.

Crocs

I was never a big fan of crocs until this past year. I was just flipping through one of my magazines and I saw an ad for the new Crocs that just came out this season. They are adorable!! Last summer they started coming out with really cute styles like the Prima and this year they have the Malindi & Cyprus. I heard they are super comfortable too! Check them out!!

Ojon

I recently found a great hair care treatment product that is absolutely wonderful. Since I color my hair every two months I find that my hair can get a little bit dry and sometimes needs a treatment. I have tried a lot of hair products and treatments but when I found this one I couldn't believe how awesome it was. I had heard about the product before but stumbled upon it when I was shopping in Sephora one day.

Ojon is the name of the product and they sell all kinds of hair products that are great for your hair. The particular product I bought is called Ojon restorative hair treatment. It is made of Ojon oil and comes in a tub. You only have to use just a little bit of the product because a little bit goes a long way. You scoop a half of a teaspoon into your hand and when you rub your hands together it turns into an oil that you then put in to your hair and rub into your scalp. You leave it on for about 20 minutes and then rinse it out. I couldn't believe how awesome my hair felt after I used it. It is the only hair treatment that I have ever liked. Goodbye Chikezie

I was a little bit shocked at the bottom 3 on American Idol last night but I was pretty sure it was Chikezie that was going to go home. I felt bad for him and I didn't think it was quite his time to go home yet but he obviously isn't as popular as Syesha and Jason. I honestly can not believe Kristy Lee Cook has made it as far as she has. She seems like a nice person but she is the least talented in the competition. She obviously has a huge fan base.

I remember the season that Chris Daughtry was on and how shocking it was when he didn't win that season. I told myself that I would never watch the show again (very dramatic huh?) because I thought he was the best that year and he has been my favorite of all the seasons of the show. I hope that doesn't happen again this year and David Cook doesn't go home. I will be one depressed American Idol fan and I will probably throw a tantrum again and say I will never watch the show again but we all know that I will be right back to watching it. ( :

Red Sox fever

The baseball season has started and the Red Sox are going to be having their opening day soon in April. I am a huge Sox fan and I love buying any kind of Red Sox apparel. I have a lot of cute hats and tank tops but I just noticed a new line about a year ago that Alyssa Milano came out with and it is adorable. She has a new line for MLB called touch by Alyssa Milano.

Her line has a lot of really cute clothes with swarovski crystals and it is very stylish and comfortable. You dont see many MLB clothes primarily made for woman so I think it is great. Check it out! GO SOX!!!

American Idol

I thought American Idol was awesome tonight. My two favorites are still Brooke White and David Cook. I couldn't believe how awesome Brooke White's performance was but the judges didn't really like it. I really didn't understand that but when David Cook came out and sang his version of Billy Jean by Michael Jackson I could not believe it! That guy is so talented and if he does not win this whole thing then I hope someone notices how talented he is. I think no matter what he will go far. He is just so original and confident. I love that about him. So here are my bottom three predictions for tomorrow night:

I actually thought Chikezie was good tonight but the judges didn't like him and im thinking he may be in the bottom three but I dont think he will go home. I think Ramiele will go home before him. We will see tomorrow night!!

Wanted!! Anne Klein shoes!

I went to Marshalls a couple days ago and when I was looking at the shoes I fell in love with a pair of houndstooth Anne Klein shoes. They were the cutest shoes I have ever seen. I have fallen in love with a lot of shoes but I wanted these shoes bad. The only problem is they were a size 7 and I am a size 7 1/2. They just barely fit and I knew that if I bought them it would be a mistake because they were just alittle bit too snug. Of course they were on clearance and only $10.00! I couldn't believe it because you could tell these shoes were alot of money at one time and like I said the cutest shoes I have ever seen. I decided not to get them and I wrote down the style number and name and thought I would be able to google them when I got home and find them that way. Well guess what?!? They are no where to be found. If anyone can find these shoes for me I will love you for the rest of my life.

Have you met Francine????

So has anyone met Francine yet? Coach just came out with a new bag called Francine and it is absolutely adorable!! I almost like it as much as the Chiara bag that my friend Alma just got but it is alot more expensive then the Chiara bag. It is in the $700 range so I don't think I will be buying it anytime soon but that doesn't mean I can't admire it. It is also in that same aqua blue color that I have been loving lately. I think the hottest colors for handbags right now are red and aqua blue. Check out Francine!!

Benefit

I don't wear a ton of makeup but I do have a specific brand of makeup that I absolutely love. I love the line by Benefit. I just convinced my sister to buy a bronzer/highlighter that she thought looked nice on me and it is great if you want a little bit of a bronzey look with a little bit of pink shimmer. It looks great in the spring time and also in the summer when you want to accentuate your tan. Benefit has alot of great blushes and bronzers but the one I love is called Perfect 10. Give it a try!

Happy Easter

So this day is almost coming to an end. I can't believe it is almost the end of the weekend already! I felt like just yesterday I was saying how happy I was that the weekend was here. Today turned out to be a good day despite the fact that I was down in the dumps about my boyfriend going away. I should be hearing from him soon when he lands safe and sound in LA and then I will be able to sleep well.

Saturday blues

Its finally the weekend! Thank the Lord. I think yesterday was one of the longest days of my life. Jared & I went for chinese food last night. We go every Friday and it was delicious! Im so bummed. He left for his trip this afternoon. ) ; I think alot of people would think I am completely out of my mind for being so sad that he left since he is only going for a short amount of time but this will be the first time in 2 years we have been away from each other for more then 2 days. Call me a cornball but I am! ( ; I also am not a big fan of flying and get nervous when anyone I love gets on a plane. I will feel better once I know he has landed safe and sound!!

So to make myself feel better I think I am going to take a ride to the mall or somewhere to make a purchase. Has anyone seen shoes by Sam Edelman? I had bought a really cute pair of flats a long while back that were on clearance at Macy's at the time by him and they are really adorable and really comfortable. TGIF

TGIF!! I am so glad this week is coming to an end. It has felt like the longest week ever. Jared is home sick again today. I hope he gets plenty of rest because he needs to feel better for tomorrow.

So LOST was awesome last night. BUT of course they have to have an awesome episode on and then say that it’s not going to be on again till April 24th! I know it’s really only a month away but if you are a die hard LOST fan like me that feels like an eternity!! It was a really good episode last night. It was based on the character Michael and we haven’t seen him in an episode in a long long time. It gave a lot of answers as to why he was on the freighter and where Walt has been but what the hell is going on with Ben?! Everybody seems to be listening to everything he says again and now Rousseau and Karl are dead!!! So now here I am again waiting a full month to see what happens next!! I need answers and what the heck was Tom Friendly doing in NY??

LOST

So the day is almost over. Thank the Lord tomorrow is Friday. Its been a long week. My boyfriend is still sick and I feel really really bad for him. He was out of work sick practically all week long and when I talked to him a little while ago he still felt like crap.

So on the brighter side of things LOST is on tonight and I cant wait. I dont think there is a bigger LOST fan then me. I have faithfully watched the show all three seasons and it is currently on it's fourth season. I think I could go on and on forever about all my different thoughts and theories on this show and anyone else who watches it knows what I am talking about. If you are reading this and have never seen this show before then I strongly suggest you give it a shot because you will be addicted but make sure you watch the first three seasons before because if you dont it could be a little bit confusing.

New shoes

I cant believe it is another rainy cold day and it is almost spring. I think its supposed to hit 50 degrees today though so that will be good. So I was wrong about the bottom 3 on American Idol last night. I still cant believe that Carly Smithson was in the bottom 3 but atleast she didn't go home. It was time for Amanda Overmyer to hit the road I think. As long as David Cook is still in the running I am happy ( ;

So I just started a new job and I was at my old job for 7 years and when I left they threw a party for me and gave me all these awesome gift cards to Victoria's Secret, Forever 21 & TJ Maxx with an awesome basket filled with all kinds of stuff that I absolutely loved. I couldn't believe how generous they all were. It meant so much to me. BUT of course I had to spend my gift cards since shopping is what I do best and I just got my new shoes from Victoria's Secret in the mail on Tuesday and I absolutely love them. Now I just have to figure out how to walk in them cause they are super high and when I am going to wear them. They are adorable!!! Check them out, they are the zebra ones!

American Idol Junkie

So I don’t know about everybody else but I am a huge fan of American Idol and I am always looking for people who are just as obsessed with it as me! Last night was a pretty disappointing night in my opinion. My absolute 2 favorites are David Cook & Brooke White but they definitely didn’t give their best performances last night. David Archuleta was definitely the best performer of the night by far. The kid is only 17 years old and he sends chills up my spine when he sings and as corny as it sounds brings tears to my eyes! Tonight is the elimination night and here are my picks for the bottom three…..

Kristy Lee Cook – The only thing she really has going for her is that she is really pretty but as for the singing she has to go.
Chikezie – He had one good performance last week that actually made me start to like him because he has never been one of my favorites but last night he stunk all over again.
Amanda Overmyer – I can see how she may have a bit of a following cause she seems like a pretty cool person but in my opinion she should be singing in a bar room.

So those are my predictions. We will find out tonight at 9pm what happens.

Rainy Wednesday

So today is my day off and I can't believe how rainy, cold and raw it is out today. Spring can not come soon enough!! I woke up this morning and forced myself to the gym and then to the grocery store. My house has temporarily become a sickbay because my boyfriend is home sick today and I have to take care of him. I feel bad for him. He can barely even get out of bed. I hope he feels better soon and I hope I dont catch it!!

So I was reading one of my magazines last night and came across a new fragrance by Ed Hardy. I love all of Ed Hardy's stuff anyway but whenI smelled the cologne and the perfume I really really liked it alot. Im not a huge perfume person but I think I am going to buy this perfume. It smells awesome. I will have to tell my friend Danielle about this since she loves perfume more then anyone i have ever met!! Definitely a good purchase for perfume lovers!

Bag of my dreams

Has anyone seen the new Chiara bag that Dooney and Bourke just came out with???? Well I fell in love with it when I was browsing their website. I first went on their website to check out the new Hayden bag (Hayden Panettiere) which I loved but then when I looked further I saw the Chiara bag in a pretty aqua blue color and I instantly fell in love.

My friend Alma actually purchased the Hayden bag and wasn’t satisfied with it so she ended up sending it back and getting the Chiara bag which I saw in person this morning and seeing it pretty much convinced me that the next time I splurge and buy something for myself that bag is going to be it!! It is absolutely adorable!! Love it.

Drive home

Okay, I’m already getting addicted to this whole blogging thing already! So my ride home from work tonight seemed like the longest ride home of my life. It seems like I was stuck behind this crazy lady in a big red van from the minute I left work till the time I drove into my driveway! I was ready to lose it. I was finally glad to get home around 6:15pm and was happy to find that my boyfriend had brought me home pink tulips. I thought that was really sweet of him.

I think I am going to go to bed early tonight because I have felt sick the last couple days and I feel like I am fighting off a cold as I type! My boyfriend’s dad is a vitamin GURU and he has all kinds of suggestions of what to take when you are feeling sick and he suggested I take something called Sambucol. So I took a teaspoon of it and I hope it works. I guess it is supposed to help your immune system. I have heard really good things about it.

Blogging virgin

Hello everyone-So this is my first blog ever!! Alma & Rachel (my new friends from work at my new job) have turned me on to this. I am a blogging virgin so right now im a little bit rusty about what I want to write about but im sure as time goes on I will become a pro at this since I LOVE to talk about things. I love to shop and I love reality TV so I consider myself a shopaholic and a reality TV show junkie.
